Skiving Fin Heat Sinks are manufactured from aluminum or copper in a single-piece construction, eliminating thermal barriers for superior cooling performance.
Unlike extruded heat sinks, skived fins achieve higher fin density and thinner geometries, maximizing surface area within the same volume for enhanced heat dissipation. The skiving process slices and folds the base material into upright fins, creating a seamless thermal path without the interface limitations of bonded or brazed designs.
This technique not only delivers exceptional thermal efficiency but also provides greater design flexibility. Since skiving does not require expensive extrusion tooling, it enables faster prototyping and lower tooling costs—ideal for custom, high-performance cooling applications.
Our fin skiving machines can skive fins from 50µm till 3 mm thickness and handle prototype making without tooling and moulding costs, serial production or unmanned continue production.
